Privacy and cookies

This notice explains what Trends4You collects through this website, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Who is responsible

Trends4You is responsible for deciding how personal information collected through this website is used. Privacy enquiries and requests can be sent to privacy@trends4you.co.uk.

Newsletter information

If you subscribe, the website collects your email address, optional name and selected topic interests. This information is used to provide the requested newsletter and tailor its subject matter. The lawful basis relied upon is consent, which you may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or contacting Trends4You.

The subscription form is processed by Formspree. Formspree receives the information submitted through the form and may process it outside the United Kingdom under its applicable safeguards. Review Formspree's current privacy information before subscribing.

Subscription information is retained while you remain subscribed and for only as long afterwards as reasonably necessary to record the withdrawal and meet applicable obligations.

Contact enquiries

If you use the contact form, Trends4You collects your email address, optional name, enquiry category and message so the enquiry can be reviewed and answered. The form is processed by Formspree, which receives the information you submit and handles it under its applicable privacy safeguards.

Please do not submit passwords, access tokens, confidential organisational information, or personal information about people who receive care or support. Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage necessary follow-up and maintain appropriate records.

Guide feedback

If you send feedback from a practical guide, Trends4You collects your helpfulness rating, comment, the relevant page, and any name or email address you choose to provide. This information is used to review, correct and improve published guidance, and to reply when you request or appear to need a response. Feedback is processed by Formspree and is not published automatically.

Please do not include internal IP addresses, organisation names, access details, confidential information or personal information about other people. Feedback is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to review the submission, make appropriate improvements and maintain necessary records.

Voluntary support payments

If you choose to support Trends4You, the payment is completed on Stripe's hosted website. Trends4You does not collect or receive your full card details. Stripe processes the payment information and may provide Trends4You with transaction details such as the amount, date, payment reference, and any name or email address supplied during checkout.

This information is used to administer voluntary support, respond to payment enquiries and maintain financial records. Payment records are retained for as long as required for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and other legal obligations. Support is optional and does not provide additional access to Trends4You resources.

Analytics and cookies

Google Analytics is used only after you select “Accept analytics”. It may collect information about pages viewed, approximate location derived from network information, device and browser characteristics, and interactions with the site. This information is used to understand site usage and improve public resources. The lawful basis relied upon is consent.

If you reject analytics, the Google Analytics script is not loaded by Trends4You. Your choice is stored in your browser so the site can remember it. This preference is essential to honour your choice.

Anonymous download counts

When a public resource is downloaded, Trends4You increases an aggregate counter for the resource version and date. The counter records only totals and the time of the latest download. It does not store names, email addresses, IP addresses, referrers or browser identifiers, and it does not place a tracking cookie. These counts help identify which practical resources are useful.

Hosting and security logs

IONOS hosts the website and may process technical server logs such as IP address, requested page, time, browser information and error details. These records support delivery, resilience, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. They are handled according to IONOS policies and operational retention periods.

Who receives information

Information is shared only where needed to operate the site, including with IONOS for hosting, Formspree for newsletter, contact-form and guide-feedback processing, Stripe for voluntary payment processing, and Google when analytics consent is granted. Information may also be disclosed where legally required. Trends4You does not sell personal information.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase your information; restrict or object to processing; receive certain information in a portable form; and withdraw consent. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

To exercise a right, contact privacy@trends4you.co.uk. Reasonable information may be requested to confirm identity before a request is completed.
